AllRecipes All Recipes!

All Recipes (AllRecipes.com) has some great 4th of July recipes for you. All Recipes especially has a superb 4th of July flag caked.

Just one problem - all the recipes on All Recipes can’t be seen - the site is having server overload! Well no fret. Jamie Richardson has come up four other websites you can visit for 4th of July pastry options. All look

“1. The flag cake featured on FabulousFoods.com is as delicious as it is festive and beautiful. The fruit even makes it a bit healthy.”

That cake looks amazing. It serves 12, is beautiful and some super ingredients:

Servings: 12
Author Notes: What better way to celebrate summer than with a delicious and patriotic dessert! This one is so easy that you could make it with your eyes closed. Let the kids in on the fun, they may surprise you with their creativity. You can make a lowfat version if you use angel food cake and fat free whipped topping.
Ingredients: 2 pints of strawberries
1 recipe of your favorite white or yellow cake (mix or from scratch, your choice)
1 1/3 cup of blueberries
1 tub of whipped topping
Instructions: Mix up and bake your favorite cake mix or recipe. Let cool.

Slice 1 cup of strawberries, set aside. Halve remaining strawberries, set aside.

Top cake (in pan) with 1 cup sliced strawberries, 1 cup blueberries and all of the whipped topping. Arrange remaining strawberry halves and blueberries on whipped topping to create a flag design. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Jamie’s All Recipes choice is the following (once the site comes back up):

“2. For a bit more sass, consider this flag cake from AllRecipes.com that includes fresh fruit and gelatin.”
